MaxPaddle Shafts

Paddlers can choose either option but the SKINNY shaft is only recommended for certain paddlers. The skinny shaft has solved all the elbow and carpal tunnel problems that we know of. It is considered an exotic choice but it allows the human hand to wrap around the shaft by 7.5mm or more meaningfully a full 34.6 degrees further than on the standard shaft. This means a huge increase in grip for the same effort and athlete’s in the know switch as soon as they understand and experience these benefits. However, if you have been using the standard shaft with no problems it would be better for you to stick to this size shaft.

Our shafts are carbon/glass and are developed to have as similar a bend profile as possible. Their performance is professionally tested by paddlers and laboratory equipment. These results allow us to engineer our shafts exactly to paddlers' correct needs. The shafts have optimum flex and maximum durability with maximum strength to weight.

The shafts are of the finest quality and break at over 2,600Nm - well beyond paddling parameters.
Maxpaddle shafts have an optimum bend and a highly crush-resistant design to give a total paddle weight under 900gm which makes the paddle a light, tough and reliable unit.

The latest in shafts from MaxPaddle is our new crank shaft. We have been hard at work developing this new shaft. It is available in Carbon, kevlar Carbon and Glass. We offer the crank shaft on the racing wing blades as well as the white water paddles. The crank shaft has a lovely feel and allows you to paddle for long periods of time lessoning the fatigue on the wrists and forearms. When paddling with a crank shaft it neutralizes the wrist keeping it in a straight line when the blade enters the water, this also gives you more efficiency for a lot less effort.
