General Information:
I live in Pietermaritzburg and have just started studying in Stellenbosch this year, so I'm looking forward to doing all the Cape river races this year. I also would like to try some surfski paddling, and maybe some more serious flat-water marathon paddling this year, should the studies leave enough time for it.
Training Tips:
Do some cross-training, and get onto rivers as often as you can.
There are few people that find paddling around in circles on flat water exciting for very long. Running, swimming, cycling, etc. are very good for your fitness, and provide some good variety in your training. Paddling on rivers is the best way to improve your river skills, and it's a lot of fun.
